But why? The land was purchased legally. The land is in an area which has been annexed by Israel and a part of Israel since 1967. Why is infuriating?
The Palestinians living in the eastern areas of Jerusalem when it was reunited were offered full citizenship. Jews in Muslim countries are considered Dhimi, or second class citizens.
We offered them health care, education, and a good future. Many of those who took citizenship have seen their children go to Israeli universities and have a future.
Why do they hate us so much? Because we bought some land and built appartments? We did not steal the land, it was purchased. Just like Avraham purchased land in Hevron to bury his wife and himself.
