Israel at 60, Part 3

by Eric on January 18, 2008

Favorite: Jerusalem. Yerushalayim Shel Zahav. The city of Gold. There are many names for the most beautiful city and holiest city in the world. It is the most fought over city in history, and my favorite place in the world.

Not So Favorite: Stray Cats in Jerusaelm. These cats were let loose to control the Old City rat problem. While rats are no longer an issue, the cats reproduced and continue to do so unchecked, lingering around dumpsters and dirty alleys in the Old City. Do not touch them, I know someone who caught ringworm from one of the cats around Har Hatsofim.
