Hezbollah Re-Emergence

by Eric on January 19, 2008

Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, the armed, Muslim extremist group controlling Southern Lebanon, has spoken out against Israel.

Nasrallah, who’s armed group was responsible for the 2006 Lebanon war, claimed that his “soldiers” forced a quick retreat of Israeli troops. Additionally, Hezbollah claimed that they hold the bodies of Israeli soldiers.

This speech brings back tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. As Israel is currently engaged in an escalated conflict with Hamas in Gaza, this is an unwelcome dialog from the terrorist leader.
